I’m really impressed with how nice this driveway looks with the gravel! My husband and I want to expand our driveway all the way through to our backyard. After looking at this, I think that gravel would look really nice! It would be so much faster and less expensive to put in, and we could have this project done really quickly!

I had no idea how thick you should plan on having your gravel driveway. I was so glad you included that information in tip 2, that ideally, it should be somewhere between 3″-8″. I’ve been helping a neighbor with extending his driveway with gravel on the side of his home, but neither of us have any experience with this. I’m excited to be able to share this information with him this weekend when we get to work again!

I’ve been looking into getting a gravel driveway at my home but I wasn’t sure how much effort maintaining it would require. I liked that you had mentioned the importance of making sure that the gravel you buy is very small and near the size of a pea. This weekend I think I’ll start looking for a company to purchase my gravel from so that I can get started on my driveway.
