Delivery

  • What other types of transportation are available?

    Trucking delivery is available for all locations.  Rail delivery is available at select locations.

  • How far will you deliver?

    We have the ability to deliver up to 100 miles or more at some of our locations.  Please contact your local plant for haul rate to your location.

  • Can I pick up materials from the quarry in my pick-up truck?

    Self-pick up is allowed at certain locations.  Please contact your local plant to see if this option is available to you.

  • Where can I find current job openings?

  • Should I expect any other fees other than the cost of the materials I’m purchasing?

    Additional fees would include sales tax, if applicable, and delivery fees, if delivered.

  • What is a good aggregate to use for a concrete slab?

    We recommend a Pea gravel, #8 gravel, #8 stone or #53 stone.

  • What is the best stone for driveways?

    For a new driveway, we recommend starting with a #2 stone followed by a layer of #8 or #53 stone. For an existing driveway, we recommend a #8 or #53 stone. Please refer to our products page for more detail.

  • Which sand is best for a paver patio base?

    The best use for this application would be mason sand.  If mason sand is not available, a lesser quality fill sand should also work for the application

  • How do I know which size of gravel to get?

    It depends upon your preferences and specifications. Please contact your local plant for more information.

  • How heavy is a yard of aggregate?

    Depending upon the size of the stone, the weight will vary between 2600—3200 lbs.

  • Can I pick up materials from the quarry in my pick-up truck?
