About This Location

In 2016, the Thorntown Sand and Gravel Plant relocated to Boone County, reestablishing production in a previously mined area near Old Mill Run Park. The operation maintains an excellent relationship with its neighbors, supporting the Turning Leaves Festival, Boone County 4H, Heart & Sole Shoe, local veterans’ causes, Boy Scout troops, and the Advance and New Ross Fire Departments.
