Crawfordsville Plant Donates Sand to Fountain County 4H

Dear US Aggregates-Crawfordsville,

The Fountain County 4-H Horse and Pony Club would like to thank you for your generous donation of 160 tons of sand.

120 tons of sand was put into the 200′ x 150′ Show Arena and 40 tons of the sand was put into the 100′ x 75′ make up Arena. The sand was  blended in with the existing material and has greatly improved the footing of the horses and to allow for the absorption of water. Having the ability t0o hold water helps in the event of rain that the water soaks in and the ground is not slick. In the event that the water is dry and we add water to help control dust, the added water lasts longer and dust is kept to a minimum for riders and spectators.

The sand will be well used to help provide a safe riding environment for the 4-H Hors and Pony members.
