Thorntown was ninth on the list of our 2023 Plant Inspection tour.
Plant Manager Brian Morrison also runs the Crawfordsville plant where our previous inspection was held and has been with US Aggregates for 20 years.
During the inspection of the Thorntown plant, Brian wants to make sure his team is keep track of the little things.
“My biggest takeaway is that we are doing a great job of taking care of the plant overall,” Morrison said. “I just want to make sure that we don’t get complacent and start overlooking some of the small stuff.”
Thorntown has been supplying aggregate for a number of local projects such as I-65, Boone County Highway, and the Hardy Hills Solar project. Read more about the project consisting of 500,000 solar panels spanning 1800 acres here.
