About This Location
The Francesville Quarry began operations in the late 1940s. The bright white limestone produced, along with a pit that is 420 feet deep, adds to the distinctiveness of this plant. The quarry is popular for its Stedman fine aglime, purchased by customers as far away as Michigan. Francesville Quarry partnered with its asphalt customers to develop unique QA26 sand that reduces the amount of stone needed in a mix design. Along with supplying high-quality products, this location partners in various ways with the local community. It offers an ideal location for local training drills, instruction, and partnerships, working alongside South Bend Memorial Trauma Team, Pulaski County EMS, Francesville and Salem Volunteer Fire, and Lutheran Lifeline Helicopter. Additionally, the quarry actively supports community affiliations like Northwest IN Business Roundtable, Francesville Fall Festival, Hobart Little League, Pulaski County 4H, Francesville-Salem Public Library, local parks, and local schools.
