Crawfordsville Leadman Adam Fidler started his US Aggregates® journey as a maintenance support member over 13 years ago. Before joining the team, he worked at Closure Systems International (CSI) where he helped manufacture bottle caps in the plant. He was excited to join the aggregates industry, embracing the chance to learn and grow in a completely new field.

Area Operations Manager Greg Failes described Adam as an exceptional leader who’s always willing to help his teammates. “He has been providing invaluable support at Swisher during our Plant Manager vacancy, all while continuing to manage his responsibilities at Crawfordsville,” shared Greg.   Adam’s impact has been significant, as he has been warmly welcomed by the Swisher team, exemplifying what it means to be a Rock Star while stepping in to guide, teach, support and hold the team accountable.

His daily tasks at Crawfordsville involve coordinating with his plant manager and team to make sure goals are met. These can include tracking annual production goals, performing maintenance, or tackling various projects as they arise. He prides himself on leading the team and ensuring that they are safe and productive throughout their workday.

Adam enjoys being a leadman because it allows him to work side‑by‑side with his team and stay involved in the day‑to‑day operations of the plant.

When asked to give advice, he shared that new miners should stay curious and trainable, and added that new leadmen should support their teams and set the example they want others to follow.

Outside of work, he loves spending time with family, whether that be at his kid’s sporting events or around a campfire in the backyard. He also enjoys playing acoustic guitar on his church’s music team.

Adam closed with his appreciation for being a safety champion and gratitude for the dedication the safety team has put into strengthening the program. He also wanted to give a huge shoutout to everyone on the Crawfordsville and Swisher teams for their willingness to tackle challenges head on.

US Aggregates is beyond proud of Adam and the way he consistently inspires and empowers those around him. His decade‑long journey with the company has been marked by meaningful growth and a lasting impact on every team he’s been part of.
