We recently had an incredible day of training for our US Aggregates Francesville team, the Francesville Volunteer Fire Department, Pulaski Co EMS and Luthran Hospital Lifeline Helicopter. The day began early with an excellent blasting safety overview from Tyler Smith at Orica. Followed by a mock drill of a critical injury of a contractor (missed when the pit was cleared) left in the pit when a Blast occurred. Everyone had the opportunity to play their part in carrying out the plant’s Emergency Action Plan. Each emergency response unit that participated in this drill used it as a training opportunity to test their systems as well. KUDOS to everyone who participated today. Our sincere gratitude to John Masterson, Sales Manager for US Aggregates, and Brandon DeLorenzo, Pulaski County EMS Director for their hard work in coordinating such a terrific training opportunity.
