About This Location

The 243 Quarry, located on State Road 243 in Putnam County, began as a greenfield site in 2010 and has since grown exponentially as a source of limestone production. In 2019, the plant was acquired by US Aggregates and in the following years, developed partnerships with the IDNR and local Area 30 Career Center. The location has also stepped in to help the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry and the Pantry Coalition at the height of the global pandemic.
